Disappointed - Steiner twisted the two chest straps during manufacture. Steiner twisted the two chest straps during manufacture and there is no way to untwist them so you end up with an uncomfortable twisted strap on your back when you wear this harness. Whatever happened to craftsmanship and quality control? This is such an obvious defect you would have thought that quality control would have caught the problem. Oh well I guess that's what buying in America is these days! Excellent Harness for Digital Camera The Steiner (German) Clic-Loc Harness is not only for Binoculars. We modified this to work for our Digital SLR Camera. It eliminates weight around the neck for those of us whom have a high quality heavy lens, battery pack, and super SLR. Other camera harness systems do not have wide straps or the solid build of Steiner.

With several models to choose from, the Essentials are ideal for kids, families, casual sportsmen, golfers and travelers. Unique, ultra-powerful, rubber armored, compact and lightweight binoculars for surveillance and extreme distance viewing. Features Rubber fold-down eyecups Black rubber armor Carrying pouch Neck strap
Great little binos These binoculars are great. They are small enough to carry with you in a handbag, easy to use, and are good optical quality for the price, actually great quality for the price. Unlike some other binoculars I have used, these do not have any collamination issues and provide a full picture. 12x zoom is nice for getting up really close to your subjects. overall a really good buy

Burris Signature Select Binoculars 8x42 Md: 300280
From Burris

Burris Signature Select Binoculars 8x42, Already highly regarded because of their favorable comparison to European binoculars costing up to four times more, Burris Signature Series Binoculars proudly introduces the enhanced Signature Select lineup. Premium optical glass that is very low tolerance precision ground and polished insures super sharp, distortion-free viewing and every lens surface is broad band multicoated for a reflection- free image. Bak4 prisms are also precision ground and polished to low tolerance specifications which virtually eliminates any out of color-phase issues. The application of premium phase correction coating takes care of the rest. And, unlike most binoculars, the prisms are coated with silver rather than aluminum for the ultimate in light transmission. We improved focus calibration by placing the right-eye diopter adjustment on a lockable diopter focus rings directly behind the center focus wheel. With their generous eye relief, well-balanced field of view and extremely tight collimation specifications, Signature Selects are easy, comfortable and a joy to use. We've added durable user-friendly twist-up eyecups and objective lens covers that are there when you need them, out of the way when you don't and not easily lost. And, of course, just like the proven Signature Series, the new Signature Select binoculars are fully waterproof, fogproof, highly shock resistant and come with Lens Covers, Carrying Strap, and Case. Sturdy, lightweight, good quality These combine a sharp image, good optics, water and fog proofing, plus sturdy rubber "armor" with an amazingly light total weight. Good for wildlife and bird observation. Used them for a day hike recently, and they compared favorably with a friend's higher-priced Steiners, even in low-light conditions--and were a lot less weight. Built in Japan to Burris specifications, I understand that they have a lifetime warranty from a company with headquarters and repair facilities in Greeley, Colorado. I can't say anything about any other Burris products, but I recommend these.

In 1907, Fred Leupold set up a one-man shop at 5th and Oak streets in Portland to repair surveying equipment. He was joined by his brother-in-law, Adam Voelpel, and later by inventor John Cyprian Stevens, and the foundations for a century of success were in place. During Leupold’s second half-century, the company focused heavily on the sports optics business. Leupold’s presence in the hunting and shooting market expanded with innovative optics and features that are now legendary among hunters, shooters, and outdoors enthusiasts. Many of the industry’s standards--nitrogen waterproofing, the Duplex reticle, and more--were Leupold creations.
Exceptional binoculars, especially in low light I have now bought 3 pairs of these binoculars (for family members & friends) since they came out. I notice the most recent pair was "Made in China" whereas the earlier pairs were "Made in Japan". I have compared these binoculars side by side to two different Zeiss models many times the price of these ones and there is no doubt they outperform the many times more expensive pairs in low light conditions such as late in the evening. The rubber armour is helpful for hunting and they seem reasonably waterproof.
